A Rejuvenating Month, Completed

The end of my month off has arrived. By the time you read this, I will likely be sitting at my desk, trying to catch up on everything I missed at work.

I apparently haven’t explained well enough or often enough why I had the month off, because I get asked daily still. It’s not very complicated, but it’s pretty awesome: my employer gives employees four consecutive weeks off in your tenth year with them.

I last worked on June 28th, and I return to work on July 30th. More than a month away, and it was amazing.

I fully intended to do a lot of really fun YouTube videos and series, but it all fell through. Partly due to laziness, but also because my kids wanted to spend way more time with me than expected. They’re 14 and 20, so I’ll take whatever I can get.

I also spent significant time with friends, and had a ton of time early in the mornings for myself. I watched eight horror movies during the month! The best were Train to Busan and Green Room. We also watched Twister and then saw Twisters in the theater this weekend after I returned home from Cleveland.
