Falling Down Stairs Is Bad For Your Health
A shorter newsletter this week
Happy… Tuesday? With Monday being a holiday for many (not me!), I decided to publish this on Tuesday. Unfortunately, I also took a bad fall down my icy deck stairs and hurt my back. So this issue is lighter than normal. I will likely publish another this week.

Here’s right-handed pitcher Drew Thorpe in 2025 Topps:

And here’s the back of his card:

Notice anything strange? Ronnie, a viewer of my channel, did.
“A crafty southpaw” at the beginning of the paragraph makes me think someone doesn’t know what a southpaw is.

👻 Brief Horror Movie Review of the Week
Again, not a horror movie, but I did finish the first season of Scream: The TV Series during my long birthday weekend.
It was meh.
Honestly, I wouldn’t have watched it if the reviews weren’t so good. I thought it was fine, but it wasn’t scary and the storyline wasn’t great. My wife, who hates scary movies, watched the last two episodes with me and said it was terrible.
I won’t be watching subsequent seasons.
2.5 out of 5 stars.
I also watched Summer of ‘84. I don’t remember who recommended it to me and can’t find the comment or email, but I’m glad they did. What a blast.
A big thing plaguing modern movies and tv shows that take place in the 1980s — especially those that star teenagers or kids — is when they overdo the nostalgia. When they’re clearly throwing things in just to get as many 1980s references in as they can.
This movie did not suffer from this. It was the perfect amount of nostalgia.
Kids today might ask, “Where were their parents all that time?” Well, our parents were never around back then. If they were, we certainly weren’t going to hang out there. We’d go to someone else’s house where their parents weren’t home. Especially if they had great snacks.
Summer of ‘84 is ostensibly a horror movie, but it’s more like a drama/thriller. I loved it.
4 out of 5 stars.
