A Bonkers Don Mattingly Private Collection

Scott, a viewer of mine, has been collecting Don Mattingly since 1985, and has over 4,000 unique Mattingly cards.

I asked Scott if there were any cards he hadn’t been able to find or afford. He said mostly the rare ones:

• 1988 Score Promo (I can’t even find an example of one online)

• 1986 Donruss Highlights white letters (PSA has only graded 3)

• 1989 Sportflics promo (I couldn’t even find any information on this one, which is rare, but I found one from 1990)

“I want all three rookies in PSA 10. I have a Fleer right now,” Scott told me. “I have close to 1,000 rookie cards, several I want to send in to PSA but I've never done it before.”

Vermont Collection In the Wild!

Last week my PSA slabs from the Vermont Collection sold, and it could not have gone worse for me, financially. What’s been rewarding, though, is that at least two of those cards sold to viewers of mine, who got great deals.

I love that I sold some of my cards through PSA’s eBay account and a couple of them still ended up in my viewers’ collections.
